From the heart of the Marche region to the catwalk of excellence, Tod’s Group’s Bottega dei Mestieri is much more than a business academy: it is a laboratory of the future. A project that rediscovers the value of Italian “savoir faire” and passes it on to young people, opening doors to new careers in leather goods, footwear and high-quality clothing.

In the panorama of Italian craftsmanship, there is a project that perfectly embodies the balance between tradition and innovation: it is called Bottega dei Mestieri and is the corporate academy founded by Tod’s Group in 2012. A school created to train new generations of artisans, but also to preserve and pass on the culture of Made in Italy through expert hands and passionate hearts.

This initiative stands out not only for the excellence of the brands involved – Tod‘s, Hogan, Fay and Roger Vivier – but above all for its vision: to enhance manual labor, transforming it into a concrete employment opportunity for many young people.

Taylor-made training for the future

Each Bottega dei Mestieri training cycle lasts six months and involves a limited number of participants-a maximum of ten at a time-to ensure intensive and personalized training. Classes alternate between theory and practice, focusing on the fundamental stages of craft production: from design to the making of shoes, bags and garments. Guiding the students are Tod’s craftsmen, true masters of the trade, who transfer technical knowledge, attention to detail and passion.

290 internships activated and a growing network

Since its inception, Bottega dei Mestieri has initiated 290 internships at the Group’s production sites. Many of the participants have since embarked on a stable path within the company, contributing new ideas and sensitivity to the growth of Made in Italy in the world.

The strength of the project lies precisely in the intergenerational transmission of artisan knowledge: a human heritage that Tod’s protects and enhances with constant commitment, offering each student not only technical skills, but also a work culture made up of ethics, design and creativity.

A responsible and sustainable vision

Within the broader Tod’s Re-Generation project, the Bottega dei Mestieri represents the educational soul: a vision that looks to the future in a conscious way, promoting sustainable, person-centered production. Young artisans not only learn a trade, but also actively participate in reinterpreting the brand’s aesthetic codes, contributing fresh ideas and innovative proposals.
