Skirt and blazer, a true style statement, then and now

SAINT LAURENT / OCTOBER 2023

Bianca e Mick Jagger, 12 maggio 1971 (Saint Tropez)

Celebrities of the past often influence contemporary fashion. A case in point is Bianca Jagger, who in 1971 wore a Yves Saint Laurent skirt pantsuit at her flash wedding to Mick Jagger in Saint Tropez.

This event sparked international media interest, becoming an icon in the 1970s. Today, the maxi blazer and skirt suit is back on trend for Fall-Winter 2023/2024, with Saint Laurent promoting it as a must-have. The outfit also includes a lightweight tank top and pointed pumps for a contemporary touch.
