During Milan Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2024, Giorgio Armani presents his latest volume “Armani Fiori” published by Rizzoli.
“There are always flowers, for those who want to see them”
Henri Matisse (1869-1954)
This is the incipit of Giorgio Armani‘s coffee table book, a precious collection of the designer’s artistic creations that fuse the world of botany with fashion through floral compositions and creative experiments.
Armani authored the texts, along with Harriet Quick, Dan Rubinstein and Renato Bruni. The book was presented at an exclusive event at the store at 31 Via Manzoni in Milan, and proceeds will go to support the urban forestation project called “Forestami.”
Armani Fiori celebrates the connection between botany and fashion, presenting uniquely colored tulips interwoven with minimalist elements such as bamboo and agave, all against greige backgrounds, a hue coined by Giorgio Armani.
The book is also a tribute to Japanese culture and art, particularly Ikebana, the Japanese art of creating floral arrangements with great skill.
Two hundred color images, one hundred and ninety-two pages, and the unmistakable Giorgio Armani touch evident from the cover.
Made of silk with exposed binding and Japanese-style inserts, it features on a black background white orchids ‘set’ like precious stones among sprigs of equisentum.
